Microvalves as a pilot valve

A traditional field of application for microvalves is, for example, the use as a pilot valve or relay valve in larger control valves of industrial pneumatics, with a small microvalve controlling a much larger valve. Using this procedure, it is possible to control very large air flows or high pressures with the very low energy requirement and also the small installation space of the microvalve (= pilot valve).
